半導體最核心製程在於微影技術上，而光阻塗佈是微影製程中極為重要的一環，雖說在製程上光阻的噴量多留些空間可以減少覆蓋不均的發生率但是造成噴塗的浪費，噴量最適化卻又增加一些製程條件及參數的緊縮及光阻壓力變化下微小氣泡產生的覆蓋不均，這許許多多是肉眼無法辨視與儀器無法判別下也因此增加重工率的居高不下與報廢風險，尤其光阻是一項高單價的固定材料成本，如何降低噴塗量與重工率攸關FAB廠的競爭力與獲利。
近年來節能減量議題日盛，竹陞科技本持降低耗損;降低成本與競爭力為優先的客戶導向，開發出光阻噴量的即時FDC監測系統，將每一次的光阻噴塗量即時上傳至IT端的 FDC系統，由系統自動依據噴塗量數據來達到減量及時攔檢異常產品。
